Our team includes 3 partners and 17 associates most of whom are fully qualified as legal counselors and tax advisors. The majority of the associates have between 5 to 10 years of experience gained in top international law and consulting organizations. The members of the team are fluent in English, Spanish, German and Russian and through personal circumstances are also deeply intimate with the cultures of those countries. We are able to provide services in all those languages and experienced in anticipating and avoiding the cultural clashes which may occur in cross border projects.

Michał Stolarek - is a legal adviser. He specializes in tax, administrative and civil law. Before starting his own practice in 2003 for over 10 years he was one of the key members of the tax teams of Warsaw offices of White & Case and Baker & McKenzie. Before that for over 5 years he worked for Polish Ministry of Finance as a member of the team of Fiscal Control and Legal Departments. He won the biggest tax case ever won in Poland (over 160 million PLN). On several occasions he was named a leading and recommended lawyer in tax matters by Chambers Global and International Tax Review. On numerous occasions he was involved in developing the tax interpretations through advising governmental authorities including the tax authorities. He specializes in elaborating tax structures aiming at optimizing fiscal implications and regularly advices on tax implications of major transactions and group restructurings. In addition to practicing law he also lecturers on the tax law for the trainees of the Warsaw Chamber of Legal Counselors and is renowned author of several tax publications.

Arkadiusz Grabalski - is a legal adviser. He specializes in mergers and acquisitions, capital market transactions, securities and corporate issues. He began his professional career in the Legal Department of the Ministry of Privatization, where he participated in the privatization of large state-owned enterprises. Subsequently, he worked in a national investment fund company where he was responsible for the fund's capital transactions. In 1998 - 2005 he worked for Warsaw office of White & Case where he was a leading securities and banking specialist. He has been involved in the merger of two significant banks in Poland. He advised a Scandinavian banking and insurance group in connection with the acquisition of the majority of shares in three medium-sized banks in Poland and subsequently he advised in the merger of those banks. He worked for a Swedish construction company in the acquisition of a majority of shares in the Polish engineering and construction company. He has been involved in the merger of one of the leading Polish banks with the Polish branch of a Dutch financial group. He also participated in work for an Hungarian oil and gas group in connection with its planned merger with Polish gas and oil company. He also was involved in the privatization of the largest Polish insurance company with a Dutch financial group. He also advised to a French energy and heat provider in connection with acquisition of Polish companies, as well as on various corporate issues regarding the above. Furthermore, Mr. Grabalski advised in the "reversed" merger of two significant Polish engineering and construction companies. He also advised in numerous IPO transactions, as well as in "de-listing" transactions. In addition to his native Polish he is fluent in English.

Agnieszka Duda - is a legal adviser. She specializes in corporate, investment and acquisition projects and business and commercial transactions. For over 12 years she was associated with Warsaw office of Baker & McKenzie where for several years she was a key lawyer of the media and telecommunication team handling major transactions on the media and telecommunications market such as acquisitions in cable television, radio, telephony, internet and cinema operators sectors. She also assisted publishing companies in developing their presence in Poland. She headed the Corporate, Commercial, Competition, EU and Labour Practice Group leading a team of 10 lawyers. In 2002 she was named one of the renowned experts in corporate law by Legal 500. Before joining Stolarek & Grabalski for 4 years she was a general counsel of one of the biggest Polish development and construction companies with Spanish participation where she also served as a supervisory board member of a major development company. She has a unique expertise in construction contracts, including FIDIC and in development projects. Having family routes in Spain and Australia she is intimate with Spanish and English speaking countries culture and peculiarities. In addition to native Polish she is fluent in English and Spanish. She also speaks German and Russian.

Wojciech Bialik - legal adviser. Graduated in from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw (Master of Law) and New York University School of Law (Master of Comparative Jurisprudence). Has valuable experience in drafting and negotiating construction contracts, joint venture/company agreements as well as agreements relating to acquisition of significant stakes in telecom and media companies. He has advised clients on general commercial contracts including contracts relating to telecom equipment, networks, and provision of telecommunications services. For 14 years had been an international partner in Baker & McKenzie. Prior to joining Baker & McKenzie in 1994, Mr. Bialik spent several years in New York acting as legal counsel in the Commercial Counselors' Office of the Polish Embassy. Prior to that he acted as Vice Director of the Legal Information and Service Center of the Polish Chamber of Commerce and as a legal advisor to Polish and foreign companies. He represented Poland at UNCITRAL conferences devoted to issues of international trade law and the preparation of model laws (e.g., law on public procurement). Since 2009 in individual practice. Wojciech Bialik has experience in arbitration at the Arbitration Court at the National Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw, at the Court of Arbitration of the Polish Confederation of Private Employers “Lewiatan” and at the Arbitration Court of the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce . He is a member of the Warsaw Bar of Legal Advisers . He is co-author of „Telecommunications Laws in Europe”, Butterworth London 1998 and „Telecommunications Laws in Europe”, ToHel 2005. Mr. Bialik speaks English and German.

Krzysztof Stefanowicz – legal adviser from 1990. Graduated in from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, in 1978 he passed with honors state exams for judge position and in 1987 – Juris Doctor. During the years of 1978 – 2004 Krzysztof Stefanowicz was a lecturer at the University of Warsaw together with the Capital University Columbus w Ohio, USA. Krzysztof Stefanowicz is an author of many law publications and articles. He is a member of many prestigious associations as International Bar Association, ITech Law Association and Criminal Law Association, he is a member of Polish Association of Law Employers. Also he is an adjudicator at the Arbitration Court at Krajowa Izba Gospodarcza in Warsaw. Krzysztof speaks English, German and Russian.

Justyna Fedyszyn - legal counselor. She has over three years of professional experience, including participation in a number of legal projects, especially in the field of commercial law, concerning, inter alia, the establishment, transformation and liquidation of business entities. Justyna Fedyszyn participated in a number of legal audits of companies, including companies operating in the media and telecommunications secto­r. She speaks English.

Magdalena Hermaszuk - legal counselor. She has over seven years of professional experience in corporate, civil, labor and banking law. Magdalena Hermaszuk gained experience at the Banking Law Department of White & Case. She participated in a number of legal audits of companies operating in various sectors, including banks. She speaks English.

Adam Sękowski - tax advisor, attorney’s trainee. He is a graduate of Faculty of Law and Administration at University of Warsaw (2008). He specializes in tax law, particularly in issues regarding value added tax. He speaks English.

Filip Smakowski - legal counselor. He specializes in providing advisory services in the field of broadly understood tax law, including for the benefit of foreign investors (tax structures of a transaction, real estate investments, M&A, "tax warehouses"), and in the field of intra-community trade regulations. He speaks English.

Paweł Bandurowski - attorney’s trainee at the Warsaw Bar Association. Graduate of Law and Administration at University of Kardynał Stefan Wyszyński in Warsaw. He has three years experience in law firms among others in real estate department of the international law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel and other law firms where he supported businesses in the field of civil law, commercial law and copyrights. He speaks English.

Radosław Broniarek – legal counsel trainee admitted to Bar of Legal Advisors in Warsaw. He graduated from Faculty of Law and Administration of Warsaw University. He has experience in civil, commercial, real estate, construction law and banking law as well. He speaks English and Russian.

Dagmara Lasocka – attorney’s trainee at the Warsaw Bar Association. Graduated with honors from Faculty of Law and Administration of Warmińko-Mazurski University in Olsztyn. She has two-year experience in rendering legal services. Dagmara handles matters in the field of civil and commercial law. She speaks Spanish and Italian.

Diana Gajda – Diana is an attorney trainee at Warsaw Bar Association. She graduated from Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw (a diploma with distinction) and managment at the Warsaw School of Economics. Moreover, she finished German Law School and American Law Centre at the Warsaw University. She gained experience while working in law firms in Warsaw. Diana handles matters in the field of civil and commercial law. She speaks English and German.

Marek Kempiński - legal adviser. A graduate of Warsaw School of Economics and a PhD student at the Capital Market Department. Marek Kempiński handles matters in the field of civil and commercial law, as well as capital market law. He took part in numerous due diligence process in various sectors from industrial to IT/IP, in relation to M&A transactions, asset deals and prospectuses. He speaks English.

Agnieszka Skowron - legal adviser. She participates in numerous projects consisting in providing ongoing legal services to business entities, in particular in the field of labor, civil and commercial law. She speaks English.

Paulina Banasik - legal counselor trainee, a graduateof Law and Administration at University of Warsaw and SGH (finance and accounting). She participated in Sokrates Erasmus organised by Universite Paris 8. She has professional experience in legal services in the real estate department of the CMS Cameron McKenna Dariusz Greszta Sp. k. She speaks English, French and Russian.

Magdalena Łuczak-Golenia – attorney at law. A graduate of Faculty of Law of Warsaw University and post graduate of Faculty of Law studies in Rotyzbon and Centre of American Studies (cooperation of Warsaw University and Levin Collage of Florida University in USA). Magdalena handles matters in the field of corporate and competitive law. She speaks English German.

Dominika Weremko - attorney’s trainee at the Warsaw Bar Association and a PhD student. A graduate of Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration at Catholic University John Paul II of Lublin. Dominika participated in American Law School, post graduate study in the field of commercial law at Warsaw School of Economics and year-long study International Business with French at Blaise Pascal University of Clermont-Ferrand. She gained experience while working in law firm and training in Ministry of Justice. Dominika handles matters in the field of civil and commercial law. She speaks English.

Katarzyna Nowicka - attorney at law. She attended professional court training to become a judge. A graduate of Maria Curie – Skłodowska Universityin Lublin Faculty of Law and Administration. Katarzyna Nowicka has nine years of professional experience. She participates in numerous projects consisting in providing ongoing legal services to business entities, in particular in the field of civil, labour and commercial law. Katarzyna Nowicka specializes in court dispute. She speaks English.

Jerzy Lubaś – attorney at law. A graduate of the Law Faculty of University in Rzeszów. He specializes in real estate, public procurement law, banking and capital market law. He speaks English.

Katarzyna Ołdak-Jaczyńska – PhD, legal advisor. Katarzyna Ołdak-Jaczyńska is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Warsaw University, where she also defended her PhD thesis and obtained PhD degree in legal science. She also completed postgraduate studies organized by the Poitiers University and Warsaw University at the French and European Centre – DESS – with a specialization in French and European commercial law. She is an author of numerous legal publications. Katarzyna Ołdak-Jaczyńska is a specialist in civil law with an emphasis on real estate law, commercial contracts and litigation. She has broad professional experience, including working several years in Domański Zakrzewski Palinka sp.k. law firm. She is fluent in French and English.
